GEOGRAPHY

Year 7

Students follow a bespoke Key Stage 3 programme. It is a challenging programme of study which develops a wide range of skills, particularly collaborative learning skills. The units covered in year 7 are: The British Isles, immigration and population, tectonic hazards, weather and climate, regeneration through hosting the Olympic Games and rivers.

Year 8

Students in year 8 learn from a diverse and challenging curriculum which prepares them well for the OCR B GCSE specification which is studied from year 9 onwards. Topics covered include: a regional case study of Spain, international sovereignty, secessionist movements, global economic disparity,  tropical storms, flooding, sustainability and coasts.
