Extra-Curricular Activities
Although our number one priority is maximising examination success, school is not just about academic study. At Riverside we actively encourage all students to enjoy school and to get involved in as wide a range of activities as possible.
School Trips and Residential Visits
There are regular trips to museums, theatres, art galleries and concert halls. Great Opportunites to visit the Olympic Park, London Assembly. Outdoor pursuits, such as trips to Epping Forest, Hyde Park and Cultural Excursion to Malaga in Spain
Clubs
A wide range of clubs and activities are on offer after school, reflecting the interests and enthusiasms of the staff who run them. Current clubs include Science, Maths, Geography stretch and Support, Homework, Cooking, Table Tennis, Dance, Drama, Choir, Art, Debate Mate, Band and Adobe Youth Voice.
Sports
The school has a very active and successful team of P.E. staff, who organise clubs and teams across a wide range of sporting activities. These currently include football, Handball, basketball, and athletics.
Music, Dance and Drama
The school takes pride in the quality of its performing arts. Students can receive individual tuition in a range of instruments as well as joining groups such as the choir and band. Dance and Drama are well-established, with popular after-school clubs. Students have the chance to take part in public performances, including a major musical production during the school Term.
